For we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith, not by sight.
(2 Corinthians 5:7)

There is no doubt that we are living in the day of the Great Apostasy that was foretold in scripture would occur prior to the coming of Christ..  The question is are you going to be counted as one of those who endured till the end or are you one of the deceived who's name has been blotted out of the Book of Life and has become apostate and a follower of false doctrine?

2 Thessalonians 2
2 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

Revelation 3
5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.6 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’

Preachers love to preach about the prodigal son, how he was redeemed back to his father and forgiven. But you never really hear a lot about the un-prodigal son. He was the one who stayed near his father and to whom the father said, “Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.”(Luke 15:31) . But of the prodigal son he declared to the faithful son, “for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.”(Luke 15:32).

So the question becomes, if this parable is supposed to be a picture of our relationship to God, how by today’s standards of Christianity can a son, who was once in his father’s house, be lost and deemed  dead to his own father? There is only one answer to this question and it is this. Obedience to your Heavenly Father will lead you to life, but disobedience will lead you to death. The son who took his inheritance and left his father’s house to squander everything he had away became dead to his father. It was only through his act of repentance and returning to the authority of his father’s house that he became alive again. And though he was given back his position as a son, and given back his ability to live in his father’s house, it was the son who remained true and near his father who inherited all of his father’s kingdom.

The word Faithful and the word Faith are one in the same, for when we claim we walk by Faith we declare that we are living a life of Faithfulness to our Heavenly Father. So how do we know if we are walking by true faith or if we have become dead and deceived and are living a life of counterfeit faith or a false doctrine. To determine that you have to come to the same place the prodigal son came to. A place of reality and honesty with your self. A place where you take an honest look at your own life and judge it against all that your Father represents and determine if you have lost your way.

In Closing

James 1:5  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of Elohim, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him.

May The Heavenly Father bless you and keep you, and may His light of understanding shine upon you and lead you in all truth.
